GEO³ Conference 2025

Dear colleagues,

It is our great honor and pleasure to welcome you to the International Scientific Conference of the Institute of National Geography – GEO³ Conference 2025, held under the theme “Geography in the Age of Global Transformation: Spatial Inequalities, Sustainability, and Territorial Development.”

The GEO³ Conference is organized by the Institute of National Geography, in cooperation with the University of Skopje, with the aim of fostering high-level academic dialogue on contemporary geographical challenges shaped by profound economic, social, environmental, and territorial transformations. The conference is conceived as a scholarly platform dedicated to advancing geographical science as a foundational discipline for understanding spatial inequalities, regional development trajectories, and sustainable territorial organization at national, regional, and global scales.

In an era marked by climate change, demographic transitions, spatial polarization, and the digital transformation of spatial data, geographical knowledge and spatial analysis play a decisive role in informing evidence-based policy, territorial governance, and sustainable development strategies. The GEO³ Conference seeks to bring together academics, researchers, PhD students, and practitioners to exchange theoretical insights, empirical findings, and applied methodologies that address these complex spatial processes.

We are confident that the GEO³ Conference 2025 will provide a stimulating environment for scientific exchange, critical reflection, and interdisciplinary collaboration, contributing to the advancement of geographical knowledge and professional competencies within the international academic community.

We sincerely thank you for your participation and contribution to the GEO³ Conference 2025.

With respect,
Organizing Committee
